Record Number of New Citizens

According to a new U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) report, the number of people who became citizens in fiscal year 2018 reached a five-year high  (Abigail Hauslohner, writing in The Washington Post). The report shows USCIS naturalized 756,800 people in 2018, a 16% increase from 2014.
